The Glass Dress Project
The Glass Dress project was a collaboration with the performance artist Michael Richard Petersen involving a series of performances documented in photographs and a conceptual sculpture of a dress built out of waste glass and fishing net. The artist Marit Benthe Norheim writes of the project: "For me, the Glass Dress is a tribute - but with pain in the victories, like one of the tones in the dance and transformations. It is about transitions and transformations from childhood to youth and in nature. Nature and its cycles are a perfect setting and musical score for the development of the narratives, where sexuality and sensuality are embraced by the natural changes and transformations of the seasons."
The project was funded by the Port 20:10 festival.
